Almost all mainstream media are run by right-wing billionaires. Tjese stupod "peotect the kids" laws like banning Tiktok or KOSA ain't gonna fix SHIT.

      Yes it is for most countries. The spying doesn't have anything to do with it. Social media in general is the worst source of misinformation and indoctrination in most countries.
      Fox News isn't counted as News channel by like every country outside of the US. It's insane that it exists but the world isn't the US.
      Though to be fair I didn't think of the US when writing my comment. Still you can find reliable news source etc. in the US too.

        That is not a valid reason to ban it. Banning it because it's "brainrot and a waste of time" is stupid. Who are you to judge how other people use their time? It also sets a dangerous precedent that can lead to other sites being banned too. Reddit and Twitter also wastes of time, yet I would never have known about KOSA without Reddit, and Twitter still exists for racists, transphobes, and Christian nationalists. If we ban Tiktok, we have to ban it all.
