The C.O.I. has held Simon captive for years, keeping him in a cramped space with his oceanic rock friend and a few spare lionfish. Bars covered the top, but it was normally just enough space for him to listen in on conversations.
When he heard about some business deal between something called "The hail Mary project" he knew all it meant was trouble.
