"I wasn't going to leave you alone Lena", the blonde responds in a whisper, almost afraid, as if it were obvious, turning to the bed with Lori still secure in steel arms, albeit by now the little girl is already asleep again. Alabaster slender arms reach to grab the girl from her arms.

"Shh… it's okay, how are you feeling?", Kara interrupts her self-deprecating speech gently, stirring the conversation to less painful topics, that one is something she doesn’t want to address now, if ever.

Summary
Since they mended their relationship, Kara wants to spend time with Lena, more than they used to. She agrees to wait for Lena despite Lena trying to tell her that she won't be home early. But Lena behaved a little too suspiciously for Kara to shrug it off so she pressed only to find out that Lena was actually visiting a BDSM club prior to their late night meeting. A wave of jealousy flood Kara and something in her snapped.

“I think we’re alone now,” Kara sings quietly, her voice low and beautiful as it winds around Lena, making her breath catch in her throat. “There doesn’t seem to be anyone around. I think we’re alone now, the beating of our hearts is the only sound.”
Lena hadn’t particularly liked the song when she had first heard it, thinking it was just another over-produced piece of ‘80s bubblegum-pop. But as Kara’s low voice croons the simple words in the still of the night, her fingertips brushing over Lena’s hip and her breath warm against her shoulder, Lena finds herself reconsidering her stance.
She just might have a new favorite song.
