Summary
Customers. What scum, Azula thought. Unimaginable horrors should befall these wretched people. May their arches fall flat, may their legs break, may their footwear crease. Maybe then they’d come back to Footlocker and she could sell them more shoes.
She was above this.
She didn’t deserve to be here.
She was God.…
AU where a post-canon, modern-day Azula kins god and works at Footlocker. Inspired by these few posts.

Summary
I can’t sleep. It doesn’t make sense. Last year you disappeared and my hawk never came back and I don’t think my letters were sending at all ... I don’t know how to describe what’s happening here in town. They banned travel for airbenders, shut down the newspapers, and now we only get something called "The Imperial Bulletin".
When Aang runs away from the Air Temple without a trace, Kuzon is left alone in the wake of his closest friend's disappearance, amidst rumors of war, turmoil, and rebellion brewing on the Fire Nation homefront, still finding reasons to write.
Or, how Kuzon never gave up looking for Aang, through colonialism, a Fire Nation draft, a resistance movement, and continents setting them apart. Collections of letters and written records of Kuzon's life, from childhood until the very end.

Summary
“Some Kyoshi girls recommended this place when it was first starting up,” Suki says. “I try to go whenever I’m in the city. There’s live performances and themed nights, and they tend to pour heavy. It’s always lots of fun.”
Toph smirks at a detail unshared. “Just a primer because I know you’re prissy: it’s kinda dingey, but I think it’s charming. Just give it some time for the atmosphere to sink in. It’ll be great.”
In the midst of it, Katara closes her eyes and pictures herself. In this dream, she is self-assured and confident. Stronger. She pictures the bar women with cropped hair and leather boots. Then the dancers, traversing between feminine and masculine, their plumes, their sparkle.
She imagines Aang, comfortable in his body. She imagines him proud.
…AU where Kataang come out to each other in their 30s, as butch and femme lesbians.

Summary
If Ursa had it her way, their teenage years would’ve been spared. If Ozai had only loved his wife. If only Azulon had treated Ozai better. If Sozin had shown Azulon compassion- so it came down to that. Generations of tyrants pumped blood through Zuko’s heart. They gnawed on his bones in his sleep.
As Mai and Zuko welcome their little girl into the world, they reflect on their upbringings, their relationship, and responsibilities— not only as parents, but as rulers raising a future Firelord. The one thing they promise themselves: to do better than their own parents, for their daughter’s sake.
...
Snapshots of Izumi’s childhood, from birth to her teenage years. Written as part of Maiko Week 2024, Day 4: Parents

Summary
As a little girl, she had believed in the Avatar as one believed in a deity. Something not of this world, able to quake the fabric of the earth with a single step. The Avatar existed in her mind as something abstract and removed, cold like the moonlight that gave her bending its power and blinding like the tundra that stretched endlessly beyond the walls of their village.
It hadn’t been until Aang had crumpled at her feet, body crinkling like a leaf against flame and wailing over his people that she had truly thought otherwise.
OR
Katara and Aang travel to the Southern Air Temple after the war to perform a funeral for his deceased people.

Summary
[Time passes oddly. Between one second and the next, Sokka has the Fire Lord pinned to the wall with his hands around the bastard’s throat. Golden eyes (one gold eye, his mind whispers) widen in shock.
“Sokka?” he chokes out. And then he smiles.
What the fuck?
“Sokka, I—”
Sokka slams his head against the wall, once, twice, and the smile wipes off his face. Good.
“What,” Sokka bites out, “have you done to my sister?”]
Or:
An injury leaves Sokka with amnesia. His last memory is of the failed invasion, of leaving his father behind in enemy territory on the Day of Black Sun. Of hopelessness. Rage.
But then he wakes up, and the war is over. Suddenly, he must come to terms with the fact that years have passed, and that he's somehow the Southern Water Tribe Ambassador to the Fire Nation. He is also supposedly friends with banished-Prince-turned-Fire-Lord Zuko, of all people. Close friends.
Yeah, nah.
