That’s a problem Raph had. He felt every minor thing so strongly that he couldn’t even stay still half the time. Every single emotion, positive or negative, felt as though it was freezing him up head to toe and stopping his mind and heartbeat alike, or as though someone had blinded him, ignited his heart, bones and flesh and with that, it was only a matter of time until the fire grew and burned everything around it, including Raph.

After Splinter's death, the four brothers couldn't quite fit in their predestined roles as well as they could before.
Raph had decided to be the first one to feign normalcy; it's not his fault he didn't know that it would also trigger his downfall. Well, he guessed it was better for him to take the blunt of it as long as his brothers didn't have to deal with him. If he couldn’t protect his father, then he could at least protect his brothers, even if only mentally.

They weren't scars, but pieces of Sukuna's body mingled with his own. They were hot, bubbling as if he were laughing at him. Occasionally they trembled like someone with an annoying eye twitch, throbbing as a living being would to claim its place in the world.

"By making him a vessel and using his body like a mecha?" Gojo raises an eyebrow.
Megumi takes over in that moment, speaking aloud for the first time in months. "Shut up, it's not Yuuji's fault that it came to this."
Yuuji manages to get Sukuna out of Megumi's body - but there's a catch. Still, maybe there's a silver lining.

It was far past midnight when he heard the noise. A crash coming from down the hall. He’d tried to read who it was using his six eyes, but their energy was so erratic and unstable he genuinely couldn’t tell who it could be. He supposed it must have been coming from someone’s late night training session that had left them more than drained, but the further he followed it, the more concerned he became.
It wasn’t coming from the training room at all.
It was coming from Megumi’s room.
“Megumi?”
“I’m fine.”
He was not fine. Not in the slightest. Not with that sickly pallor, those sunken eyes, that shaking frame, that messy room. Something was wrong. Very very wrong.

Megumi throws himself into Satoru’s arms, wrapping his own tightly around his neck and shoulders, just shy of strangling him. “—for you,” he finishes. His hands hover with uncertainty over Megumi’s back because in all the time he's known him, Megumi's never done this.
