Summary
Kindness is a rather attractive concept.
But there’s one problem: kindness always leads to love, and there are no alternative options.
As for love, it’s a rather ill-conceived concept, for there are no unambiguous or even average results as to where it leads.
If we follow this line of reasoning, Columbina, kind and sensitive by nature, is doomed to love Sandrone. She doesn't mind spending the treasure of her heart on Sandrone, yet she feels a bit anxious: she has no experience in this complex matter.
They should have thought twice before joining hands, but it wasn't that Columbina and Sandrone really cared about it.

Summary
Lohen jumps off the bed, and Varka can’t help but stare, admiring.
He’s thin, angular, like a boy who still doesn’t know where he’s going to grow. Sharp elbows, slender wrists. The outlines of his ribs show through the fabric of his shirt, and Varka counts them again.
One, two, three…
The shirt reaches mid-thigh on his narrow hips, transitioning into long, straight, and fairly strong legs. Lohen raises a hand to rub his eye with his fist, and the hem lifts slightly, revealing creamy skin. Small bruises. Looks like Varka gripped his legs too hard in the heat of nighttime passion.
Heat spreads in his lower belly.
“What are you staring at?” asks Lohen.
“At you. It's a nice view,” Varka answers honestly, unable to look away.

Summary
Illuga closes his eyes, preparing for the worst, and forces himself to breathe deeper. His heart pounds like crazy.
The mattress beside him dips under a foreign weight. A cool hand gently touches the knots and
cuts the ropes.
Illuga’s eyes fly open in bewilderment and alarm.
…He did not expect such an act of mercy.
Illuga always thought his life would be spent among the dusty shelves of his father's shop. But when a wealthy fae petitions for a human spouse, he, an ordinary youth, is torn from his familiar way of life and sent to be seen like cattle at a fair.
Now Illuga is his wife and is forced to put up with some of his new husband's eccentricities, for it seems he isn't as simple as he first appears.

Summary
Twenty-nine fiery red roses.
Ardent love, passionate feelings.
Lohen sighs.
“No, Grand Master.”
“Why?” asks Varka.
“Uninteresting. Banal. Pushy,” Lohen shrugs.
Ah. Varka droops. Lohen sighs.
“I’m by no means trying to insult your tender feelings and all that. I want to understand how serious your intentions are.”
…What?
“Try something else. Use your imagination. I don’t know, I want creativity.”
Varka thinks and catches onto something.
“Is that a challenge?”
“Perhaps,” Lohen smiles at him.

Summary
“But first, answer me, young master. You’re an augury bird, correct?”
“Yeah!” The young man smiles shyly. “But I warn you: I can’t predict your future. I only know events that will happen to me.”
“And how is it? your future.”
The young man falls silent, lowering his eyes, framed by long light lashes. His wings flutter.
“...I will meet a wonderful person with whom I will walk until the end of my life... But that won’t happen until the next millennium. In about six hundred years...?”
“Well then,” Flins says with that light smile behind which he hides everything he is not supposed to show. “I wish for those six hundred years to pass unnoticed for you, like a free wind across the fields.”
The augury bird predicts a happy future, linking two destinies.
