Summary
When Optimus Prime finds Starscream hidden away during a brief and dangerous seeker heat, one mistake changes the course of the war.
Cycles later, Starscream discovers he is carrying Optimus Prime’s sparkling. Desperate, frightened, and with nowhere else to go, he turns to the Autobot leader for help — only to be met with cold reality. Optimus has Elita-One, a future already imagined, and a war to win. There is no place in that future for Starscream or the sparkling he carries.
Unable to end the life growing inside him, Starscream does the unthinkable: he tells Megatron the truth.
At first, Megatron sees only a weapon. Optimus Prime’s heir could be shaped, trained, and turned against him. But plans made in cruelty do not always survive the fragile weight of a sparkling in his arms.
And when the child’s first word is “Sire,” Megatron realizes he may have already lost the war he started inside his own spark.

Summary
Before he was Megatron, he was D-16 — a young mech who believed in the Decepticon cause as Megatronus Prime envisioned it. He trained under Starscream, the Prime’s right hand and second-in-command, a brilliant strategist who shaped D-16 into something greater than a soldier.
Then Megatronus Prime died.
Starscream vanished.
And D-16 felt that loss like a fracture in his spark.
Time passed. D-16 became Megatron. The war consumed Cybertron. Ideals twisted. The Decepticons became something harsher, something unrecognizable.

Everyone believes Tarn is Megatron’s most loyal Hound, a devoted Decepticon who worships the Warlord’s every command with terrifying obedience. They see the mask, the violence, the reputation, and assume his loyalty belongs to Megatron alone.
But the DJD knows the truth.
Tarn’s fascination has never truly been with Megatron. His devotion, his silence, his carefully controlled obsession, all of it belongs to someone else entirely: Starscream, Megatron’s brilliant, dangerous, impossible Second-in-Command.

Dread it, run from it, but death comes for us all once our time on this mortal plane is up.
Speaking of which, I died.
But after my death, a unique opportunity was bestowed to me, one that I gladly grabbed onto with both hands.
Although, I suppose 'servos' is the better word to use in this situation.
By some cosmic coincidence, hitting triple sevens in the afterlife lottery, having no payment for Charon on the river Styx, or just plain luck, I've somehow been thrown into the body of the Third in Command and Chief Communications Officer of the Decepticons, Soundwave.
With a mind filled with both events from the TV show and universe I loved, and memories that are not mine but mine all the same, what's a human turned Cybertronian cassette master to do with it all?
Definitely not follow my Dark Energon addicted excuse of a leader Megatron into the cold, dark embrace of the Shadowzone, that's for sure. I believe the Autobots need an informational advantage, and I will happily deliver.
After all. They don't call me the 'Decepticon Spymaster' for nothing.
Now all I have to do is help the Autobots win the Great War.
By any means necessary.
