Summary
Rudy has been in pain most of his life, and when he gets his new body he decides to be purposely in pain for a sense of familiarity. After an unsatisfying performance in battle, he decides to punish himself by self-harming. He cuts a bit too deep and falls asleep before patching himself up, leaving the Guardians to find what looks to be a suicide attempt the next day.

Viktor Hargreeves had been dead for three months. So, Viktor mused, why was he just following Klaus around? It's not like he was ever sober enough to acknowledge him. The drugs quiet the ghosts, so maybe he's included in that particular statistic. With nothing else to do, though, he follows him into an alleyway, and they both find more than what they bargained for.

If nothing else, it’s a nice change of pace, Five thinks. Everyone is so damn disrespectful. Having someone other than Dolores take him seriously for once is… refreshing, for a lack of a better word.
Roy doesn't think that he's too young, or that his face means he's automatically incapable of making sound decisions. Roy doesn't ignore him just because he looks different. Roy listens to him. Five likes that quite a lot. His own siblings rarely give him the dignity of attention or respect that he feels his age deserves. It's nice, Five thinks. Really nice, actually.
Klaus thinks that this is a load of bullcrap.
