Summary
Buck really didn’t want to throw up in the truck, he’d never live it down. The nausea had come on suddenly, he’d been fine during the rescue and as soon as he’d sat down, it had crashed like a wave. Not only was he on the verge of vomiting, his bowls were also revolting again. As fine as he had felt two hours ago, as crappy was he feeling now.
You’re gonna make it, Buck. No way you’re puking in the truck.
Then Eddie nudged his shoe and Buck knew he’d been made.

Summary
Eddie slides into the bed next to Buck. He can feel the mattress dip slowly, minutely, like Eddie’s trying not to disturb him.
“You probably don’t wanna do that.” Buck’s side is a puddle of sweat. The sheets are tangled and twisted around him, too much, then not enough, then scraping at his skin every time he moves. His face is smashed into his sweaty pillow, but he can imagine Eddie wrinkling his nose when he realizes the state of the bed.
“I’m good. As long as- is this okay?” Eddie hesitates, half on, half off the side of the bed near the windows. It’s usually Buck’s side, but he’s been sticking close to the bathroom these past few days.
“I’m gross right now.” Eddie’s warmth, the weight of another person next to him, is comforting. But Buck’s not sure if Eddie is in the bed because he wants to be, or because he feels guilty. He’s been acting guilty, or apologetic, the past few days. Buck’s not sure why. Eddie’s not the fuckup here.
OR: Eddie takes care of Buck, and then keeps taking care of him

Summary
This was not ideal. Whatever Theo had yesterday was hitting him hard- he was lightheaded, shaking with chills, and his stomach was still trying to fight its way out of him through his throat. And he didn’t have the luxury of lying on the couch all day; he had a completely healthy and extremely energetic four year old to take care of.
Buck tried to think. Theo had thrown up a few times, he’d had a low fever, but he’d mostly just been tired and worn out. Buck could handle this; he was probably through the worst of it already. He would just let Theo run around in the back yard, keep his meals easy, give him extra TV time, and crash as soon as the kid went to bed. This was just one of those things parents had to deal with from time to time. No problem. Great plan, go team.
OR: Buck powers through a stomach bug until he can’t. Then he calls Eddie.
