Summary
When a scene goes horribly wrong, Leon learns the true meaning of trust as Chris provides him with the aftercare and protection and love he never experienced before. For the first time in his life he feels safe enough to open up about his past and together they reestablish boundaries, allowing Leon to understand that he deserves to be treated with kindness and respect.

Summary
Grace snapped herself out of her detrimental train of thought, fingers digging into the flesh of her thighs. Swallowing past the tightness in her throat, she focused her eyes back onto Hunnigan. Before she could spiral again, Grace pushed for clarification, "I-if he's fine, then…?"
Hunnigan studied her for a few seconds, giving her time to recompose herself—almost long enough to make Grace start fidgeting—before she answered, "He's been compromised by his own instincts."
Grace blinked, taking a moment to process the sentence. Once she did, her eyes widened in disbelief. "He's—he's gone feral?"

Grace couldn't deny that a tiny bond of some kind had formed between her and Leon during the events of Rhodes Hill and ARK, but is she really the best choice to help when Leon falls victim to his instincts?

Leon slumped back against Chris again, his body reaching a point of exhaustion where keeping his head upright anymore was a struggle.
With a cracked voice he whispered, "I thought I was going to die, Chris. I thought I was going to die there and never see you again. And that scared me."
Chris didn't know how to respond. Leon; the man who feared nothing, not even death, was scared of never seeing him again.

{“You need to get checked out. Now.” The larger man ordered, but Leon just shook his head and melted into his arms, exhausted.
“I know, I know, but can we just…just stay here for a sec? Like this?”
His voice was a strained, quiet plea, and Chris sighed as he gently rubbed circles into his back, easily accepting most of the other man’s weight and swaying him back and forth a little.
“Fine. Just for a sec. But then you’ve gotta see a medic.”
Leon grunted noncomitally against him, and he rolled his eyes at the smaller man.
“Alright, but you’ve at least gotta let me check you out before we even think about going anywhere. God, you’re stubborn, you know that?”
“S’why you married me, isn’t it? You think it’s charming.” }
Post RE9- Chris comes to pick Leon up from saving the world, and he is NOT happy about his husband's choices.
