Namely: The reason why Zameris contacts the Federation every 900 years only to then fall into almost total radio silence for decades after that.
The Enterprise enters a spiral orbit around the tide-worshipping planet Zameris, and Spock gets the strange feeling that he has done so before. He also has the feeling that the ship will soon run in to an inexplicable system failure which will render the entire crew doomed to either death or desertion, but he couldn't say as to why that is either.
