Set after the Dark Side of Dimensions movie. Kaiba's experiment with the space elevator fails. He can't access the afterlife, and wakes up in a hospital, disappointed. He is wrong, however. The experiment succeeded, just not in the way he hoped... He was able to open a portal to the afterlife; it's just that he wasn't able to get in. Something, however, managed to get out...

Do you write fight scenes or duels? Want to give it the memorable "BAM!" that readers crave?
This duel is a rare example of proper literary technique. The setup to the duel establishes high stakes, the duel itself follows the drama rules of escalating tension, and to top it off, the cards are thematically meaningful to the characters.
I cry at night because I can't find more duels this beautiful.
