Summary
“What an incredible creature you will be,” he said quietly, “and what a boon for England.” An old hurt panged in his chest; bringing the egg up from the shore was likely the greatest thing he would ever do for his country, and it had only been dumb luck that brought him such a chance. For a moment, he thought of the ships sailing past down the channel, towards Gibraltar or Africa or India, and had to swallow that long-held longing. The chance for such a path was passed, and not only passed, but passed by twenty years. He ought to have released such foolish childhood dreams by now, and yet even a pastor must be allowed an occasional harmless indulgence, he hoped.
“You will go very many exciting places, I expect,” he told the egg. “I hope you do not mind the sea, after the tumble it has given you.” He patted the egg and, to his astonishment, it made an audible gurgling sound beneath his hand, as if in answer.

Summary
“If it hatches before we reach land in two months, Lieutenant Laurence will make the attempt.” Barstowe’s watery blue eyes gleamed. As if Laurence had voiced an objection, he said, “I cannot spare the other lieutenants, nor can I let a midshipman leap so high in position, even if it is to an inferior service. You will harness the beast.”
Laurence found his voice and said, with steadiness that surprised even him, “I am perfectly willing to try. However, I have not been trained in any of the methods used in the Corps.”
“You’d best figure them out, then,” Barstowe said. He smiled, revealing his yellowed teeth. Laurence felt his mouth tighten, and refused to drop his gaze. “After all, failing to harness such a valuable beast could only be called a betrayal to his Majesty, and you’d have to face the consequences.”

Summary
"Scenario A: We keep waiting here like dumbasses for rescue.
Likeliest outcome, 99.29% probability: I die, and then you die, and the data is wasted.
Scenario B: You try to drag my mangled body up to the surface.
Likeliest outcome, 99.87%: Your systems fail less than one quarter of the way up, and we die horribly at the same time from impact when you experience catastrophic failure.
Scenario .C: You leave me here and try to make it to the surface by yourself.
Likeliest outcome, 98.12%: Your systems fail before the halfway point, and you die on impact when you fall. I die slowly down here, alone.
[Scenario D: You salvage what you can from my body.
Likeliest outcome, 64.89%: You successfully reach the surface and deliver the data to ART and its humans. Mission casualty ratio is reduced from 100% to 50%, and the colonists are safely retrieved.]"
Yes, 1.0 bolded its preferred scenario, because it thinks I am being dumb.

Summary
The ninety-fourth reset. That’s when he started to unravel—or at least, that was when you started noticing.
After reaching a "perfect" ending countless times, you still reset in the hopes of saving Asriel . . . at the cost of losing Sans. Sacrificing your power to turn back the clock might be enough to save him, but a mysterious rupture in time lurks in wait under the true lab, ready to pull everything into the void. With it come signs of Sans' long lost brother, threatening to draw him away down a darker yet darker path.
When the usual events don't go as planned and new secrets come to light, is it too much to hope that everyone can be saved?
A story about family, healing, and self-discovery.
Note: This fic starts in a pretty dark headspace but ends in a higher one. Just a promise, since the first two chapters are pretty heavy. <3

Summary
The nightmares were back. At least that’s what I decided to call the ghosts that haunted my recharge cycles. Either way, I didn’t like it.
“It’s getting worse since the trauma treatments started,” I complained to ART. “Aren’t those supposed to make you feel better?”ART decides to help Murderbot and enters its mind as it recharges, hoping to transform its nightmares into harmless dreams.
