Summary
“That was crazy! That was so cool!” Yuji grabs Okkotsu’s shirt, levering himself to his knees so they’re both gripping each other, knelt in the river the rain’s made of the road. The train rattles and screams overhead and over the noise, he shouts: “We fought a ghost, Okkotsu! We’re like… Ghostbusters!”
“What?!”
“We just beat up a ghost! That’s so cool!”
“No! What?! That—that’s not remotely what happened!” Okkotsu is so outraged he seems to have forgotten to be scared about his personal poltergeist eating a local ghost and almost killing his underclassman. The final car of the freight train finishes tearing past and into the rain and comparative silence, Okkotsu shouts, “You don’t get it, Itadori! I’m going to get you killed!”
Yuji blinks.
“No, you’re not.” He points at himself. “I’m too tough? Remember?”
AKA: The new generation of jujutsu monsters grew up feral and fighting curses together in Sendai. I'm sure this will have no major ramifications for the world as a whole.

Reigen exhales, and stops talking circles around the issue. “Basically. There’s a lot of very anti-esper sentiments out there right now, after everything that’s happened last year or so. Some of them are...pretty violently anti-esper. And I’d guess they have just as much of a chance of getting worse as they do getting better.” He folds his hands on the table in front of him and leans forward, imploring. “And I thought maybe we’d like to plan for that.”
The atmosphere of the whole room has changed, become laser-focused and serious.
No one in the city is more invested in keeping its super-powered children safe than the adults in this room.
Some problems can't be solved by physically fighting them, even if you do have psychic powers. And some problems can't be solved by kids at all.
With this in mind, Reigen holds a meeting.

Makoto frowned. “There’s no way all the teachers have partners. Come on, can you guys even imagine Fushiguro-sensei with a girlfriend? He’d be like ‘Aw babe, talk dirty to me with your recantation of Hein Era Jujutsu sorcery, 3 pages, single spaced.” He had pulled Ishi into his play acting and started blowing fake kisses at him. Ishi was unimpressed.
Miya laughed at their antics and joined in, pitching up her voice and making it breathy. “Aw Fushiguro, of course I’ll whisper into your ear about domain implication and long term effects of domain expansion on the brain.”
Amidst their giggles, Ishi rolled his eyes. “It’s domain amplification, and if sensei had a girlfriend, she wouldn’t call him Fushiguro, she would call him by his given name.”
“You’re such a wet blanket, Ishi. What even is sensei’s given name?” Miya responded, resting her head on her palm.
Ishi shrugged. They all looked at each other. “Wait, so none of us know sensei’s given name?”

This time, he tilts his head like a fox facing an unidentified object in the woods. "Because we share a strong bond."
"And that is because?" Yuuji tries again.
"Because we're married, what else?" Okkotsu chuckles, amused. As if Yuuji is being silly and obvious on purpose, as if it's amusing to think that no, Itadori Yuuji and Okkotsu Yuuta are not married at the ages of twenty-one and twenty-two respectively, but it is perfectly normal and sensible to believe otherwise.
Yuuji finds out very late what it means to give your ring finger to Okkotsu Yuuta of all people.
