Summary
The guard's body falls in a heap, Scar looking rather pleased with himself, and for just a moment, Grian is impressed by his dexterity. But then the man smiles at him with an almost child-like wonder, just like he used to, and Grian's mind floods with a familiar kind of grief and betrayal.
It doesn't matter that Scar just saved his life. None of this matters.
Grian flicks off the safety and points the pistol at Scar's head.

Summary
Grian has a maddening long term crush on his co-worker and friend Scar. Scar is developing a budding crush on the city's new hero, Cuteguy, after he saved him, or rather his alter ego, Hotguy. Grian has no idea why everyone seems to fawn over Hotguy, and frankly its quite annoying at this point and so is the hero himself, especially now that he finds himself working alongside the boastful and flirtatious hero after accidentally taking up the mantle of Cuteguy after a good deed and a misunderstanding.

Tommy stutters, his tongue suddenly turning to rubber and stares at the man, one of the world's top villains, in his passenger's seat. “I—”
“One moment.” The Angel holds up a finger, popping the door open and looking towards the back of Tommy’s car. He cups a hand to his face. “Boys, get in this fucking car or I’m leaving you behind!”
