It was Mark’s fault. This is what Donghyuck keeps repeating to himself like a prayer a month after they break up. He can’t stop replaying the night in his head when he showed up at Mark’s front door and greeted a tired face devoid of excuses. He’d said that he forgot they had plans, that Donghyuck could sleep over if he wanted to.
He looked hungry, but didn’t ask if Donghyuck brought back any leftovers.
And then. Then he dragged his naked feet back to bed, leaving Donghyuck standing in the open doorway as he came to the slow, numbing realization that time had just run out, and he’d done nothing to barricade it in.

It’s maddening how easily Mark can make him come undone with a single hand.
He’s got Donghyuck quivering on top of him now, lower lip between his teeth to stop himself from making too much noise when the other members are somewhere in the dorm. And all Mark gives him is a final bored once-over before he’s focusing on his phone again.
