White Knight doesn't greet Rex—just says, "Your stay here comes with conditions. You realize that by now, yes?"
"Um. Yeah."
"Good. You will behave and do as you are told without question. Cooperate with the doctors, but you will listen to Six and other agents first and foremost."
Rex chews the inside of his lip. "Yes."
White Knight clears his throat. "Is that how you show respect to those above you?"
His face flushes and burns against the recycled air. "Yes, sir?"
"Hm," White Knight looks down his nose at him. "This is really just a formality. A reminder that everyone answers to me, and if you break the rules I will know about it."
"I won't," he insists.
"We'll see." He sounds nearly bored when he says it.

And Rex loved missions like these, loved the chance to show off without some manipulative bastard distracting him with taunting and mind games. So Six stood back and watched the kid have the time of his life, chasing some slimy blue thing that spit corrosive juices at anything that moved, and he let his guard down.

He and Six spar for a while with the tonkas. Rex is clumsy with it, more used to his builds, and when Six doesn't press forward after he disarms Rex he knows the conversation is coming.
"Rex," Six begins stiffly, "living without a dynamic isn't so bad. People can't judge you for something you have no control over. You're not a slave to your biological functions. Speculation occasionally works in your favor." He speaks like he's reading off a mental list.
Rex huffs. "You have a dynamic though. Hiding it is different than being an EVO freak."

Dr. Holiday isn't the only Omega who works at Providence, but she's the only one in a position of power besides Six. He's not quite sure how to handle her when he first meets her - he had his first heat six years late in the middle of the Hida Mountains and had spent most of his life hating Omegas. He was taught to, raised to despise the 'whores who brought down nations' like Dos had always called them, to detest the men and women who would throw themselves at Five when she pumped pheromones into a greasy pub to score a one-night stand. He had been of the general assumption that Omegas were weak, deceptive- honey pots. Even now, as an Omega himself, it was still hard to change that assumption. They say to rebuild the house, you must rip out its foundations, and Six did not yet have the tools to rebuild.
