Once they are in the kitchen, Itadori finally lets go of his wrist, darting toward the tiny pantry closet like a man on a mission. "Hold on- first things first. Gotta suit up!"
Megumi blinks like he was just told to put his airpods in the washing machine.
"Suit up?"
Before he can process, Itadori yanks something out as dramatically as humanly possible. Itadori proudly holds up a bright red apron with white lettering screaming KISS THE CHEF in bold, tacky font, complete with the imprints of multiple lips spread around the lettering. The strings are frayed like it's been through World War I, II, and III.
Megumi stares. "Where in the fiery depths of hell did you get that?"
Itadori only smirks. "White elephant gift exchange last Christmas! Kugisaki made sure I got it, insisted that it was 'perfect for my vibe.'" Itadori grins, already looping it over his head.
"Watch this."
He shrugs off his graphic tee in one fluid motion, tossing it onto the back of a chair without looking, and ties the apron strings behind his back.

Before I go further, I wanted to explain my spelling of "Miruko" rather than "Mirko". For you see! "Mirko" is the name of a Croatian MMA fighter that Horikoshi really loves for some reason. "Miruko" is how I believe she would spell her hero name, because her actual name is Rumi, so the name Miruko, is actually just her name but flipped around, and she added "-ko" on the end to make it "Girl" So her hero name is literally like "Rumi-Girl!" (like Supergirl) and I think that's just so funny and totally fitting of her character I wanted to highlight it, with the spelling.
