There is a link between magic and performance to the jester
You see how l said to set apart magic and performance. Distinct, they are not as riddling, or intertwined as they appear, except they riddle together like how a jester solves them to be. The blatant likings to a jester anyone can guess, for all that, is that all we know about a jester?
Imaginable magic and performance go up inquisitive, juggled, and magnetism, disguises, a smile the weight of his responsibilities, and a cage of his longing for freedom – if he would like – no one understands this wish of liberation and turmoil within, that he feels so below society.
Like the flying, flapping winging freedom of a bird or a dove in the cage, the scenario is so repetitious that the jester might now think it is dead. But what if the bird risks escaping? to cross the borders of the cage? What if he could cross the limits of the cage?
The sad dove, then again, this is from a madman jester.

Saiki had been getting more and more suspicious of Toritsuka lately. Despite his usual perverted thoughts, something felt different. The intensity, the desperation -it was louder than usual. Something was off. Saiki wasn't one to pry into people's minds unless it was necessary, but this time, he couldn't help it. The thoughts kept slipping through, more often and more intensely.
Even with the usual sexual scenarios, there were slips -slivers of something more concerning. Something that made Saiki's stomach churn.

The thought faded before Saiki could fully process it, but the unease lingered. He tried to ignore it, to brush it off as another one of Toritsuka's usual antics. But the thought gnawed at him. Was Toritsuka trying to drown something out? Something deeper? Something he didn't want anyone to see?
