The filters should work the same on your bookmarks page and other bookmarks pages, with the exception that, of course, you can only see private bookmarks on your own page. One thing to keep in mind is that there are fewer parameters available when filtering bookmarks than when filtering works. In particular, currently it's not possible to use work criteria (such as number of words or kudos) in the "Search within results" box of bookmark filters.
