most of the things are nice but showing only the 10 most popular tag eliminates essentially the entirety of how i used tag filtering is a really bad decision. i'm definitely willing to brave stupidly long lists so i can actually see what options i have to browse at my disposal all the top ten tags are things i could have looked up on my own
As far as I can tell from the news I've been reading and the twitter accounts and outside commentary, though, generating those stupidly long lists is kind of what led to the Archive choking on 502s and the removal of tag filtering in the first place. At least the top tens change as you filter down further which allows you to get to somewhat less obscure tags depending on what you have pulled up. And at least the other-tags field has autocomplete.
Of course I might be biased because I tend to read in really large fandoms in which the pairing list alone would probably at least double the length of the page.
