Chapter Text
The afternoon sun slips through the school’s windows, the sounds of heels clicking flood the halls, lockers shut from the other girls putting their books, after school chatter heard in the distance.
The door swings open, a head peeks through.
“Leeseo!” Yujin yells out, “I thought you were going to skip club today, where were you? And did you bring the snacks like I told you?” she questions the younger girl, writing something down on the chalkboard.
Leeseo steps in, flattening out her uniform, and fixing her hair. “My class was on the other side of the campus, Unnie and yes I did.” Placing her bag down on a table.
“Oh, okay, do you know where Gaeul is? She hasn’t shown up yet, and she’s usually early.” Yujin continues, putting the piece of chalk down and turning around to face the younger girl.
Before Leeseo could add her comment, Liz interrupts, “She said she was feeling sick, so she’ll do some schoolwork and rest up in her dorm tonight.” She drones out, mindlessly braiding her hair, Wonyoung pouts slightly hearing the news.
“I'll go check in on her after this..." Wonyoung mumbles.
And there she is, Jang Wonyoung, everyone’s golden girl, any day anytime, her beautiful brown eyes, her silky soft brunette hair, that frames her face just perfectly, those soft rosy cheeks and her plumped glossy lips. To everyone she’s perfect, straight A student, perfect sister, the Event host of her club, and just so naturally pretty, she was flawless.
But deep down, in the deepest depths of her gut, a sick feeling that always lingers, like a hole underneath her slowly cracking more till she’s swallowed whole.
Warm lighting, the faint smell of vanilla perfume, there was Kim Gaeul, lying in bed, it was unlike her to skip, especially her club, being the Vice president sets a toll of someone, but this toll was different.
She lies on her bed, a plain T-shirt and some baby blue sweatpants, she runs a hand through her hair, blank with her ends fading with the pink she had dyed it with a while back, even if she tried to sleep, it felt impossible, she didn’t lie, she was sick, in fact she was on the verge of throwing up, her stomach churned even more.
It was lunch, multiple students crowding up around tables, getting food from the canteen.
“When’s Wonyoung coming… I need to talk to her about an event for the club!” Rei cries out.
Gaeul looks around, “she must still be in class. I’ll go check.” She stands up and walks off, looking for Wonyoung.
As she nears Wonyoung’s class, the hallways slowly get emptier and emptier, until there’s no one, but it says nothing, Wonyoung had science, and the science labs are away from the cafeteria and fields.
She gets to the class but before heading in, she looks through the small window through the down, her stomach drops, there she is Wonyoung, her long hair blocks the view of her face, but her shoulders are tense, in front of the perfect girl, was their science teacher, rubbing her arm with a slow motion, and slowly leaning into her, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
Gaeul steps back, horrified, putting her hands up to her mouth, as she watched the disgusting act go on, her stomach churned tighter every passing second, and then she ran, straight to the bathroom, quickly locking herself and leaning over the toilet, the vomit felt acid, her throat felt sore from all the food she had all coming out at this moment. Once she was done, she sat there, her back leaning against the bathroom door, her breath heavy and uneven, wiping the stray tears away from her cheeks.
