Chapter Text
It was Robin’s last day in Hawkins before she left for the upside down. Ever since the town split in two, the military decided to take up volunteers to go through the rifts and explore.
Robin and the others were some of the first to signup. They had to make sure Vecna was dead, and that no random civilians get wrapped up in all of this.
The brunette slowly opened the door to the diner then tossed her green messenger bag into the nearest booth.
The diner smelled like ice cream and soon enough a waitress came over to take her order.
Her waitress was sort of familiar, they shared a few classes but Robin couldn’t exactly place her.
She had beautiful strawberry blonde hair tied up in a bun, was wearing a green and white uniform, and had light blue eyeshadow on.
The girl made Robin a little flustered, and seeing her nervousness the waitress sent her small smile.
“Hey so um I’m Robin, well I mean you might know that already because we go to the same school, and it’s not that big and we do have a few classes but we haven’t really talked before, uhh yeah. Anyways I was wondering if you would like to come and do something with me, I’m kinda nervous if you couldn’t tell.”
“I’m Chrissy, and actually,” the girl Chrissy responded. “I know a perfect place for a chat and my shift will be over really soon.”
- an hour later -
So the two girls went and sat by Hawkins’s pool, which was closed since it was currently fall.
“This might not be the most exciting place to chat but it’s quiet and kind of peaceful without everyone running around all the time” Chrissy said as her smile grew.
Robin smiled back at the blonde. But her eyes displayed the opposite of joy.
The brunette took a deep breath in, “I’m part of the group going to explore the upside down, we’re leaving in the morning and I was wondering if I could send letters to you? Jesus that sounds dumb when I say it but everyone has someone to send stuff to, even my buddy Steve, and yeah if it’s weird or something you don’t have to but…”
“I’d actually really like that Robin, it’d be fun. You could tell me all about your brave and heroic deeds and how you’re saving the world.” Chrissy let out a small laugh at the end. “See you soon Buckley.” With that the blonde kissed the brunette on the hand and promptly ran off, leaving a blushing Robin in her wake.
