As both of their eyes connect in the halls, Andre looked behind with a panicked expression, Assimilation got confused but also in extreme alert as they asked for answers, about why the player choose the other path and why didn't he at least warned him. Andre locked eyes with Assimilation again, and started to approach him fast.
Assimilation kept asking as Andre grabbed the others elbows —What are you doing, Andre?- ANDRE!??—in a heartbeat they kissed in middle of the commotion, the grip was strong but gentle in a way the other couldn't even comprehend. The entity's eye widen as he answered putting one of his arms in Andre's back, the rhythm was slow but was driving the one eyed mad.
Assimilation mind got in blank, this wasn't part of the mission, good heavens this was the last things he expected Andre to do. The one eye, embraced the kiss as the adrenaline made the kiss more pleasurable.
The speedruners mind's kept running, the spectacle left the admin shocked and befuddle, it was exactly what Andre planned as he was running out of options and strategies. He almost gave into the kiss, but his wild desire to go faster stopped him from losing his marbles, Andre broke the kiss as he quickly stole a glance behind where the admin tried to think.
Andre didn't lose more time, as the one eyed observed the player, with even more confusion and a strange feeling in his stomach, the player closed the distance again but now the both transporter to another area.
The both got sent to a room filled with doors with numbered signs, there wasn't room or time for discussions and Assimilation quickly had an idea —I see it now Andre! Go to 26 Andre!— The entity quickly went to the door knowing the speed runner would follow him, to achieve his goals of saving time.
They finally arrived to safety, a world seed full of life and a cabin nearby. Andre didn't waste the opportunity and went directly to the cabin, Assimilation in his part took a breath, a big one, he got a second to rethink about that kiss and how it messed up his brain. The one eyed saw as the other jumped and crossed the fence, it all clicked again as he saw that determined look in Andre's eyes and the way his body moved like it had a mind of its own. He needed to save him, he needed to save him because Andre wasn't just the bridge anymore, he needed that player besides him.
Friends, partners in crime, more- Who cared at this point?? The speed runner saw the truth so that means he is going to help Assimilation, Andre wouldn't just betray him when they got this far, right? Assimilation heard as the actual owner of the world noticed the speed runner stealing valuable things from his chest and the entity quickly went to help Andre distract the yellow player.
